What's Wrong with Modern Marriage? INTRODUCTION Many books now occupy the shelves of libraries, dealing in various ways with the many problems of the marriage relationship, and I make no excuse for the appearance of another, more than to say that I have not aimed at exhausting the subject. Within these pages is the condensation of valuable material gathered from a number of authors well acquainted with the subject discussed, both from experience and study. I hereby tender my thanks and appreciation to each of the authors read in the preparation of this little booklet. The efforts herein contend first of all to abide in the infallible safe teaching of the word of God. Secondly, to adhere strictly to reason and experience of the past. We can expect no improvement in the religious, moral, social or civil standards of man until first the home is improved. The marriage relationship can be improved with education as to its design and function. The silence and failure to wage persistent war against corrupt marriage unions and the disrespect for the marriage vows have provided for us the thousands of homeless children, the crimes of youth as well as adults, the lowest standard of morals ever known in this country, and the disrespect for God and His word. The contents of this little booklet intend to place before the reader a few suggestions for the improvement of these conditions. May we strive toward that end. -The Author.
